If you want clean reading experience, and want add some highlights, try makeon

It has 3 main functions:

• Clean reading: After adding a link, it will pull the webpage and simplify it to Markdown, then display it in HTML format
• Add highlights: Select text to add highlights, switch highlights colors, and copy single highlight text
• Export highlights: Click the “Export as Markdown” button in the upper right corner to export all highlights in Markdown, then you can copy them to software that supports Markdown

Clean reading

• Link list is empty now, you can use add button on topbar to add a link

• Use ⌘+v or Ctrl+v to paste a link

• Now read with clean view
• You can hide left sidebar and link list

Add highlights

• Just select text to add highlight with simple one click

• Click on lighlihgt to switch color
• You can copy single highlight text
• You can delete this highlight

Export highlights

• Copy all highlights to your clipboard

• Then, paste highlights to software that supports (or not) Markdown
